Our story

Our story is rooted in a family tailoring tradition. In the late 1960s, building on apprenticeship in the tailor's shop of their hometown, professional training continued in Lausanne, Switzerland, both in the classroom and on the job. The return to Italy came after an important role at a manufacturing company from Brescia, a leader specialised in the production of outerwear, entrusted with the complete management of the entire production division.

After a few years marked by significant and rewarding professional results, a deep bond with the homeland brought the family back to Puglia, where a small artisan workshop dedicated to made-to-measure garments crafted entirely by hand was opened. Over time, and with admirable devotion, the tailoring craft was refined and a place was carved out in the world of Italian high fashion.

With the years and the experience gained, production grew, boosted by contract work for several major fashion houses: from a small workshop it became a company of industrial scale. In the 1990s the second generation joined the family project, becoming key figures in production and management, and gave life to the new Sedici 84.

Production

Our production is rooted in the ancient tradition of Italian tailoring; scissors, needle, pin and thimble are the irreplaceable tools for meticulous work and a result of true value.

The company is divided between façon and retail. The Sedici 84 style office is able to provide patterns tailored to the client's requests, with a wide selection of yarns from the most prestigious houses on the world market: the finest wool, silk, satin, cotton and cashmere fabrics for your productions. Painstaking workmanship, countless flawless details and a perfect fit distinguish each of our garments. The production stages are delicate and manifold, born of ancient traditions. The use of the latest technologies, combined with the experience of skilled hands, delivers a tailoring production that aims for perfection. The unique value of every garment lies in its every smallest detail, and each single step of the process demands the utmost care in its execution.

Made in Italy

There are places where time seems to have stopped, where it is still the hands that dress the world. Made in Italy is born here, in these family workshops where the craft is handed down from father to child, like — and more than — a secret. A life spent between needle and thread, perfecting techniques and new cuts, to create ageless garments.

The fashion that endures, that defies the ephemeral time of the runway, is called craftsmanship. It is called Sedici 84.
